The Lake
The current boating lake is situated on the New Brighton promenade, adjacent to the area of the old swiming baths (See Map), but from February 2010 it will no longer be useable.
This is because the Wirral Council has agreed to a £60m re-developent of the whole of the New Brighton sea front from the Marine Lake to just west of the current boating lake. The developers, Neptune Development, have included a new boating lake in their plans (below). It is hoped that work on this will be completed by the end of 2010.
