Basic Electrical Motor Circuits For Model Boats

Series Motors.

This allows the use of two same voltage motors wired in series on a higher voltage batteries see FIG1, This is very useful when using higher voltage auxiliary gear such as 12v water pumps & light bulbs with low voltage motors such as RS 540's

Series Batteries.

Two or more low voltage batteries may be connected series to give a higher voltage, see FIG2. The total output voltage is the sum of the two connected batteries.
